Readstone Supports FA Play Safe Campaign

Posted: 29 September 2022

Club Welfare Officer, Dean Rainford, calls on all club members to get behind the FA’s Play Safe campaign on Sunday 2nd October.

This year the focus is on the role of parents and we’re asking all our parents to watch this video – Why Kids Worry – and complete this free 30-minute online course – Safeguarding Awareness – which aims to create greater awareness of the safeguarding role parents and carers can play within football.

Dean is keen to share and promote examples of good practice within the club and is ready to help if you’re concerned about any behaviour that you or your child experience whilst involved with football at Readstone.  Dean can be contacted by telephone on 07484 675867 or by email at [email protected]

Club Chairman, Andy Osbaldeston, says the club wants to grow a reputation for being a club of great discipline where all its members are respectful of everyone involved in the game, be they a player, parent, official or volunteer. As a club we are committed to the FA’s Respect guidelines and encourage everyone involved with the club to abide by our Codes of Conduct which can be found here.

We welcome children regardless of their ability, experience or life difficulties because we believe that the game, especially in the primary school years, should be accessible to everyone and not just those with a gift or good fortune.
