What a great night and so good to be able to celebrate all that is good about grassroots football once again. The new conference facilities at Accrington Stanley provided a fantastic venue for the evening and over 300 players and parents clapped, cheered and raised their trophies high with the encouragement of our excellent compere John Hugget. It was great to be joined for part of the evening by our new President Andy Holt and was fantastic to see our players being recognised for their progress throughout the year.
This was our Chair, Paul Clarke’s final presentation evening after 32 years service to the club. Thousands of players have passed through the Club during his tenancy and would not have had the opportunity to play for their village team without his dedication to the Club. We wish Paul and his wife a very happy retirement.
Finally a huge thanks to Geoff who does such a good job of organising the trophies each year, they looked magnificent and are hopefully adorning many mantelpieces around the village and beyond.
